Notes Three-quarter length seated portrait of Richard Brownlow, aged 86. He wears a skullcap, ruff, and a gown, holds a scroll in his right hand, and gloves in his left.

The portrait was featured as the frontispiece to Richard Brownlow's and John Goldesburg's 'Reports'.

Richard Brownlow (1553 - 1683) was the chief prothonotary of the British court of common pleas.
