From Barlow's General History of Europe.
Thomas Bowen (1760-1790) was an engraver and map seller who worked for his father Emmanuel Bowen on the Royal English Atlas and the Atlas Angelicanus which he completed after his fathers death in 1767. He engraved maps for Taylor & Skinner's Survey of the Roads of North Britain and many othe publications.
Condition: Laid to backing paper, repaired tear to the lower margin along centre fold just affecting map.
