Notes Thomas Burford (c.1710 - c.1779) was a painter, draughtsman and mezzotinter. Worked London in the style of James Seymour and Francis Sartorius. There are mezzotints by Burford published as late as 1787 (eg 'The Pointers & Pheasants'), although it is possible these could be reissues or posthumous publications.

James Seymour (1702 - 1752) was a sporting painter. Son of Colonel James Seymour.)
