Notes Franz Nikolaus Konig (b 6 April 1765 in Bern; d March 27, 1832) was a Swiss genre - and portrait painter.He made a name for himself by costume pictures, genre scenes and rural landscape displays. 1797, he moved with his family to the Bernese Oberland and 1798, he served as captain of artillery in the fight against the French .
