Notes A small scale map of the county from Reuben Ramble's Travels through the Counties of England. With Maps and Historical Vignettes. The map is surrounded by hand coloured pictorial scenes of the county: Chepstow Castle, Furnaces, Iron Mills, and Tintern Abbey. These maps are relatively scarce as they were designed for children and do not always survive in good condition.

'Reuben Ramble' was the pseudonym of the Reverend Samuel Clark (1810-75), Rector of Eaton-Bishop. His 'Travels...' atlas was published as a children's educational aid.
