Richard Samuel Chattock (1825-1906) was a fine topographical etcher and landscape painter, who was much employed illustrating books. Born in Solihull, Chattock was trained as a solicitor but, in the late 1850's, he began following his interest in art, exhibiting his work in the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and from 1869 to 1891, he exhibited in the Royal Academy of Arts.

Condition: Some foxing and time toning to the sheet.
