A proof impression was exhibited at the R.A. in 1882 No. 1259. An impression was exhibited at the New York Etching Club in 1884. Blindstamped English Etchinghs, 5, Paris lower left. Percy Thomas (1846-1922) painter and etcher of landscapes, genre and portraits. Born in London, he studied at the Royal Academy and under Whistler as his first pupil. He exhibited at the R.A. from 1867 and was elected to the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1881. |
