Notes Half-length portrait of Anna Zamperini standing behind a balustrade, with her hands clasped in front of her. She wears a bonnet and a pearl choker, and the sleeves of her dress are adorned with flowers.
Zamperini is depicted in the role of Cecchina, a female protagonist in Niccolò Piccinni's opera buffa 'La buona figliuola'.

Companion print to Finlayson's portrait 'Mr Garrick in the character of Kitely', which was published on the same day.

Anna Zamperini (c.1745 - 1771) was an Italian singer, and became extremely successful in London.

John Finlayson (c.1730 - c.1776) was a British mezzotinter, producing plates between 1765 and 1773. After his death, a number of Finlayson's plate were acquired by John Boydell.

Nathaniel Hone (1718 - 1784) was a British painter of portraits and miniatures, mezzotinter, and collector of both contemporary and Old Master prints and drawings.
