Notes Full-length portrait of Etienne Leblond (1801-1848) dressed in a waistcoat and loose shirt, tucked in with breeches. He was a dancer for the Ballet de l'Opera de Paris and a student of Jean-Francois Coulon. Leblond married the daughter of ballet genius Jean-Pierre Aumer, Sophie-Julie Aumer in 1826. The couple lived and worked Brussels, Vienna and Paris.

Robert Cooper (fl. 1795-1836) was a British painter, printmaker and publisher. He mainly produced portraits and illustrations for magazines.

Jean Frederic Maximilien de Waldeck (1766-1875) was a French painter and printmaker. He exhibited at the Parisian Salon from 1855 until 1870.

Condition: Strong impression with fine hand colouring. Trimmed close to plate mark.
