Notes A half length portrait of Josiah Misters in profile in the dock, with the inscription: Charged with a suspcion of having made a horrible attempt to murder Mr. Wm. Mackreth, of Bristol, by cutting his throat with a Razor, and also across his mouth, nearly from ear to ear, as he laid in bed asleep, at the Angel Inn, Ludlow, the morning of August 20th, 1840.
