A view of the Thames at Henley with crowds on the banks and people in boats from one of 250 copies of William Senior's The Thames from Oxford to the Tower. Francis S Walker (1848 - 1916) was an Irish draughtsman on wood, mezzotint engraver, etcher, genre and landscape painter. He moved to London in 1868 to work as a wood-engraver for the Dalziel brothers. In 1880 he began to make etchings, and in 1897 was elected a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers.
