John Burford (fl. c. 1812 - 1850) British painter who was active in London from 1812 and in New York, 1829-c.1850, then in New Haven, c.1841. In 1816, Burford became active in partnership with Henry Aston Barker (Leicester Square, London), who specialised in panoramas. In 1824, he took over the business with his brother, Robert.
