View of the jetty in Great Yarmouth, which is now demolished. Several boats and ships can be seen in the water. In 1800, Nelson landed at the jetty after the Battle of the Nile, and in the following year, returned there after the victory at the Battle of Copenhagen. Robert Pollard (1755–1838) was an English engraver and painter. Condition: Trimmed within plate mark, and laid to another sheet. Discolouration to sheet, and thinning of paper, particularly noticeable in the right hand corners. |
