Winkles's Cathedrals. Illustrations of the Cathedral Church of Oxford Containing Three highly-finished engravings on steel, the drawings made from sketches taken expressly for this work by R.Garland, Architect. With an historical and descriptive account A loose bound publication numbered XXXVI and Supplement with original adverts and notices. Curiously the cover states that this edition focuses on Oxford Cathedral, however bound within this volume are an engraving of Bristol Cathedral Chapter House and a plan of Bristol Cathedral alongside the Oxford Cathedral plates and descriptive text. At the back of the volume are uncut sheets of the second volume due to be published the following year in 1838 including the title page, contents and the editor's preface.
