Three stout and elderly men sit in a garden at a small round table. A high wall with a spiked gate can be seen behind them. The seated figure on the far left has fallen asleep at the table, his mouth open and hands resting on his portly stomach. His hat and wig have toppled off his head and lie on the ground beside him. The standing figure on the right appears to be in the middle of a toast. He and the centre seated figure both have their glasses raised. A further figure can be seen from the back walking off to the left.
