Two women sit side by side both looking out a window at a marine landscape. Signed within the plate. Percy Thomas (1846-1922) painter and etcher of landscapes, genre and portraits. Born in London, he studied at the Royal Academy and under Whistler as his first pupil. He exhibited at the R.A. from 1867 and was elected to the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1881. |
