Signed by artist and engraver. Walker Macbeth (1848-1910) was the son of the Scottish portrait painter Norman Macbeth. He was an etcher, watercolourist and painter of pastoral landscapes, rustic genre scenes and has a unique etching style, very different from Haden or Whistler. He served on the Council of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers. |
