Notes Illustration to Charles Knight's 'Gallery of Portraits'.

A bust portrait of William Shakespeare, after the 'Chandos portrait', with his head and shoulders turned slightly to the left, but looking towards the viewer. His wavy hair mostly covers his ears, and his moustache and beard short. He wears a dark doublet, and a large white collar.

Condition: Trimmed, with publication lines missing, and time toning and light foxing- to sheet.
