A miniature mezzotint printed and published by Robert Sayer depicting four men one holds a drinking bowl drinking besides a music stand with a violin, music sheet and cello. This a reduced version of a larger mezzotint droll of the same title. "Night Amusement" is the companion to "Mirth and Friendship". In his 1784 catalogue Bowles advertised the full sized impressions under the category "Humorous, Historical, and Miscellaneous Designs", for 1s plain or 2s coloured. The print was listed again in Bowles 1790 catalogue at the same price.
