An excellent impression of this atmospheric scene of Kinokuni hill in the rain. In the foreground is a large tree on a small hill, two figures walk past beneath it, sheltering from the rain under parasols.

Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991) was a student of Kaburagi Kiyokata and worked in Shin Hanga and Sosaku Hanga style.
