A graphic and stylised mid-century depiction of a Indian white-eye bird on a Japanese Camellia. Printed text in bottom margin states the bird name and the plant name in Latin.

Shundei Nakamura (1904-1966) was born in Yamaguchi prefecture. He studied Japanese art at Kawabata Art school under Kanpo Arai.
