An almanack top depicting Sidney Sussex College Cambridge. The college is seen behind a hedge, a group of four men play a boules like disc game on the lawn in the foreground.
As Oxford University, Cambridge also produced sheet almanacks from the later half of the 17th century. These earlier alamanacks were credited to M.F. Philomath and were printed by the University printers. In the eigteenth century Cambridge almanacks were published by the Company of Stationers. The University published sheet alamanacks from 1801 to 1882 which are similar to the Oxford Almanacks and are illustrated with views of colleges.
Condition: Trimmed within plate mark, areas of wear and surface dirt to sheet.
