Alphonse-Louis du Plessis de Richelieu (1582–1653) was a French Carthusian, bishop and Cardinal. He was brother to Armand Cardinal Richelieu, the celebrated minister of Louis XIII. He was archbishop of Aix in 1626, archbishop of Lyon in 1628 and was created cardinal in 1629.

Originally published by L. Boissevin without the decorative boarder, from a series of portraits of notable French personages. This impression has the publication line erased and F.Jollain added.

Jean Frosne (c.1620 - 1676 after)

François Jollain (1641 - 1704) was a publisher who specialised in engraving and publishing portraits, fashions and costumes. He took over his father's business c.1686.
