A view of the city of Porto from the banks of the river Douro, boats in the river, and people working on the riverbank in the foreground, in fine original hand colour. Robert Laurie worked in partnership with James Whittle and continued Robert Sayer's prolific and well-established business on Fleet Street, issuing prints, maps, illustrated books, charts, and nautical works. Condition: Laid to an early 19th century light card album page, some marks and surface dirt in the margins not affecting the image. |
