Notes An unsigned dramatic triptych of a naval battle during the Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895). A Chinese ship has been sunk to the left of the scene, it's crew fleeing in the waters surrounding it. Large explosions have turned the sky black and red from the plumes of smoke emanating from the sunken vessels. The victorious Japanese ships can be seen to the right.

Condition: Some minor creasing and staining, three separate panels to form a triptych.
