TVADA Autumn 2008 Art and Antiques Fair

Sanders of Oxford will be exhibiting for the first time at the Thames Valley Antiques Dealers’ Association autumn fair at Radley College near Oxford from 24th to 26th October.

This year the event will have an interior design theme, furniture dealers will be encouraged to create room settings on their stands; fabrics, curtain making services and advice on colour schemes will be available. A large quantity of furnishing fabrics have been donated for the benefit of the Helen & Douglas House Children’s & Young Persons’ Hospice in Oxford and will be on sale at £2 per metre.

Flowers of the Floating World: Women in Japanese Prints and Photographs

Sanders of Oxford, in association with Arnaud Delas, presents one of the first British exhibitions to explore the depiction of courtesans and geisha in both Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints and early photography. This broad survey covers one and half centuries of the visual culture of the demimonde or ukiyo [which literally means the 'floating world'].
