William Monk (1863-1937) was a painter and etcher of architectural scenes and landscapes. He was born born in Chester and studied at Antwerp Academy. He exhibited at the RA RE and IS and the Society of Graver Printers in Colour. Elected ARE 1894 and RE 1899. He executed subjects in Venice and New York, and he founded and worked with The London Almanac for 35 years.

Condition: Trimmed and missing calendar. Toning from previous mount.
