Notes A personalised album of 24 photographs including team photographs for rowing, cricket and archery alongside eights racing and an unusual group scene on the River Thames frozen over.

The album was compiled by Herbert Edward Cree a student at St.John's from 1887 - 1891. H.E.Cree was born in 1868 the son of Edward David Cree. He studied Modern History at St.John's completing his BA in 1891 and an MA in 1910. Whilst at St.John's he was a member of the highly exclusive Archery and King Charles Clubs. He later enroled in the Anti Aircraft Corps during WWI. He died on 1 March 1945.

All photographs pasted onto backing boards and bound into a leather and cloth album with the initials H.G.C stampted in gold.
Condition: in good general condition, wear to the outer binding on all edges and corners, backing boards warped with light foxing and general surface dirt.
